  1. Hello all, this is just a heads up - I saw there are a lot of very nice GMC trucks going for auction in April (In France) as part of collection being sold off. Thought this might be of interest to some people on here. Advertised on Milweb Classifieds - Heavy Vehicles. All the best.
  2. Hi Reme and Retalator, thanks for your replies guys. I am looking for 11 of these tyres to potentially fit a M35 Reo, with the purpose of increasing the rolling circumference of the wheels/tyres (Over the standard 9.00 20`s) and thereby increasing the gearing - achieving another 4-5 mph at the same RPM`s in 5th gear, high range. I`m not too fussed if they are track grip or Bar grip (assuming the patterns are similar?) as long as they look roughly period correct. My main goal is that they will fit/seat correctly onto an American 20" split rim and that the diameter of the tyre is around 105/106cm approx. Reme - do you know the diameter of the 10.50 20`s? Retalator - thanks for the offer, appreciated, but I will be needing 10 of these tyres as a minimum, preferably 11.
  3. Thanks Mike, no I had not seen those. Could be a possibility if I can`t find anything new/NOS. The seller says the tyres are in "variable condition" but then doesn`t show pictures of any of the tyres condition(s) to demonstrate this. Would also have been useful to have shown the tread pattern too. Possibly not the most helpful advert ever written. But I will definitely bear it in mind and thank you for the heads up .
  4. Hi, Does anyone know of any U.K or European suppliers of 11.00 20 Bar tread cross ply tyres? (Standard Old U.K Military Pattern, not newer NATO pattern) Many thanks and all the best.
  5. Hi All, I have changed the spec I`m looking for slightly. Would still prefer a dropside model, but this is not essential. I`ve decided what is more important for me is - That that the truck is genuinely rust free and any welding done is top notch. (I`ve really got enough projects already) secondly that is has the LDT multifuel engine. Basically, if your M35 is rust free and has the LDT engine, then I`m likely to be interested. More original the truck is, the better. Cheers!
  6. Hi Doug, thanks for your reply and yes it appears that your Reo might well be the kind of thing I am looking for so I`ll send you a message to discuss in a bit more detail. All the best.
  7. Hi Robin, Thanks for taking the time to reply, appreciate the heads up. Unfortunately the "E" at the end of the numberplate makes it a 1967 registered truck over here in the U.K. The reason I want a pre 60 registered truck is because we had an odd exemption on our licenses over here that allow us to drive Heavy goods vehicles on a car license (not for commercial purposes) as long as they are registered before 1960. Also his truck is not a dropside body which is something i really need for the truck to be multipurpose. But thanks for your help and hopefully something fitting the bill will come up at some point.
  8. Hello folks, I`m looking for an M35 Reo Deuce and a half truck, either M35A2 or M35A1 model with the following specs : 1) UK Registered (Or correct docs all there to register) 2) Looking for a REALLY RUST FREE example. Would ideally prefer one which is original and has SURVIVED WELL. One has had welded repairs done is also o.k as long as these have been done to a very high standard and to the original specs. 3) LDT Turbo multifuel 1C or 1D engine essential (Would prefer Whistler 1C turbo, but not essential) 4) Air switch engage transfer case for front axle engagement (preferred but not essential) 5) Non front Winch model. All the best. Cheers.
