Hi Barry, I’m intrigued that the fox you are involved with has a ferret box. Obviously the overall configuration between the ferret and fox gearbox/transfer box combination is different with shared fluid, a cooler etc, the transfer appear different, but on the gearbox side of things, in your observations, are there major differences? Ie, are the gearbox running gears themselves different? Online for sale it is not uncommon to see items such as brake bands and running gears advertised as Fox/ferret comparable. The reason I ask is that I have a the original fox box, but the gearbox end is rather poor due to being abused, taken apart and left open. I have a ferret and am fortunate to have a spare gearbox. I was considering using it to try to get the original fox gearbox / transfer box up and running. FYI, I don’t have my fox spare parts book yet so can’t put it side by side with the ferret book! Many thanks, Tom
