Two cylinder

Hello Everyone, Spotted this trailer in an auction preview, it's very similar to chassis I've seen on aircraft tankers, but this one is much narrower track and has a tubular beam running front to back- along which the rear axle can be moved forwards or backwards? Certainly was built for a special purpose? Before being made into a farm trailer. Any ideas? Thanks Darren.
