  1. There is no cost of living crisis. Every town, city, shopping centre, bar and restaurant I’ve been in recently has been busy. It’s a crisis created by the media.
  2. The Champs were all out if service about 30 years before the Merlin database existed.
  3. It will go to the commanders box fixed, but never seen one wired up in a Spartan.
  4. TUAAM - it’s the tuner for the clansman radio. Try eBay or lrseries.com
  5. I have rebuilt many master cylinders. The seals are a pain to do, however there is a method and once you know how to do it it’s not so bad. You need to soak the seals in hot water until they become soft enough to fit over the piston without tearing. This could be 5 mins, sometimes 10 mins. The grease in the kit also helps with this. I find it helps to clamp the piston in a vice so you can use both thumbs to push the seal on. Using tools will tear it. Chris
  6. Look up Michelin world tour. That’s what’s on my parabike.
  7. MIN19… 19. You won’t find them on Google and you can’t order them from the manufacturer yourself.
  8. New master cylinders here: https://www.greenmachinesurplus.com/cvrtmaster-cylinder-x-1-steeringfootbrake-5726-p.asp Or try asking that supplier for rebuild kit ‘MIN19’
  9. Simon, It sounds like you’ve bought the wrong seals. They should be green if they are the correct ones for use with hydraulic fluid (mineral oil). Do not mix DOT4 and ISO10. Do not put DOT4 in the CVRT unless you’ve replaced all the seals for suitable ones. What you want to do will work for the steering, providing you replace the master cylinder seals but I doubt you will find DOT4 compatible seals for the main brake callipers. Chris
  10. Simon, I think the reason you’ve found no posts on this subject is because nobody has needed to do it before. Is there a reason you’re doing this? CVRT was in service for 50 years with ISO10 hydraulic fluid in the brakes and steering with no issues. Chris
  11. Hi Lance, These are unique to CVRT. My friend Andy could not find any so made them. When you were at Tanks, Trucks & Firepower the other week you stopped to look at the stuff for sale on the floor next to my Universal Carrier, but you missed the bags of 10 of these clips for £20. If you want some he will post them. I can give you his details. Chris
  12. You could try the large clubs, IMPS, MVT etc but I expect they are fully booked already. We booked our accommodation in June 2022 and the ferry when the timetable was released back in July.
  13. There will be hundreds of vehicles from all over Europe there that week. If you haven’t booked a ferry and accommodation yet you need to be quick or you will find everything is fully booked.

  16. It’s not a separate part. It is built in to the VHF base but not present on the HF base. What thread does your base have?
  17. Sounds like the starter is sticky, maybe needs lubricating. Petrol diagram but the same starter..

  19. And this one shows the 2 types of Messier link arms.
  20. This photo taken from eBay shows the pin which your link arm with bush needs to slide on to.
  21. The suspension training arm has a pin which the link arm (which comes fitted with the bush) slides on to. Sliding them off again is easier said than done and when recovering Armstrong dampers from scrap yards in the past I have ended up cutting the link arms off as they would not budge. Be aware that for Armstrong dampers there are different length link arms as there is a longer one for use on snow. The original link arm design for messier dampers has a bronze bush rather than the rubber bush, this needs regular greasing otherwise the pin wears out quickly. This was replaced with a ball joint type link arm, where the pin is removed and the link arm secured through the hole.
