Last time out and about before the end of the summer....

At a recent show we attended I was asked a couple of times what webbing, if any, would have been worn by a driver of say a 3 tonner during the war? RASC, REME whatever, was there such thing as a specific webbing set, belt, water bottle, gas mask etc or are they all simply carried loose in the vehicle?

I am looking for advise. Does anyone have experience of bringing restoration projects back from France to the UK? Any tips to transport companies, import duties, Vat etc?

Definitely agree, we can't help ourselves once we've caught the restoration bug. It's also about making sure we save these vehicles too isn't it? I must admit I am following a few leads now for our next project...

I know of a few smaller Dennis wartime tipper trucks, one not a million miles from me tucked in a barn. But I haven't seen one of these.

I must admit I still toy with the idea of a trailer for our Commer, I always keep an eye out at any sales locally and have followed a few leads from friends.

In my opinion the rarer the better, I like seeing something new or something that really is out of the ordinary. I would imagine this is quite a heavy piece of kit to tow?

Each time I open a thread that has new activity I now get a full page ad that I have to close. This is to go with the banner at the top and the one at the bottom of the screen. I rarely look at the forum now on my phone, even with ad blockers its still very difficult to navigate. I now check in every few days on my work pc, even typing now I have 4 adverts around the typing dialogue box..

So, I marked the roundel to size on the bonnet and now I've applied a couple of coats free hand without stencils. Before anyone points out, the Blue has come out too light but in my opinion it actually still looks good and tbh when you are infront of the truck you cant actually look over it moreso across it. I am happy to leave it like this for now.
