Hi, I have a jan 45 mb which has the original raf 208989 written on the hood. Is there a list of numbers anywhere or someone who knows could help tell me where the jeep might have been stationed ww2/ post war, any help greatly appreciated
They were a set of photos taken after the battle of caranten by life magazine photographer Frank Scherschel
trooper is John G Mcfarlen, 502 pathfinder,, 101st airborne
Thanks Ron, I don’t think I will ever find the proper clips, I have got some old terry pushbike clips that look exactly the same, chrome at the moment but will blast and paint,
Strange that the Canadians didn’t like the Harley wla so they came up with the wlc with the hand clutch. I wonder what they made of the Indian controls and if they ever modified them
great pictures Lex

I noticed in lexs photos the fifth one down looks like it was taken in Northern Europe, maybe Germany or Austria, this is the first time I have seen an Indian in this theatre. Is there any more info on this photo
thanks steve
