The pictures look good, do you find there is a lot of interest in NZ?

I think there is a fair bit of interest but always the need for more events.

The big events I know of would-be Armistice in Cambridge and then either Omaka Airshow or Wanaka Airshow.

I'm sure lots of smaller groups do their own events and alot of the A&P  shows may have a small displays as well.

Plenty of stuff hidden away in sheds that comes out every now and again.

  2. Sorry to hear the covid vaccine has been rough on you, I don't get my chance to get it till late this year if all goes to plan.

But as usual the attention to detail on your build is stunning. 😁

Thanks BRDM and thanks again for the earlier assistance.

If it ever gets finished, I have promised the Yorkshire war time experience it's first appearance.

As for the Oz stolly getting shunted by a roadtrain, I was thinking of overloaded foreign artic with no speed limiter and the driver busy watching telly.  Happens a lot down our way as they rush to and from Dover.

Yeah I bet that isn't pretty, bit like that Texas pile up due to ice.

  5. In regards to the Oz Stolly, it got hit by a road train so depending on the layout could be the equivalent of getting rear ended by a Scammel Commander carrying a Challenger 2 doing 60mph.

But your light set up looks like a great idea to stop the tailgating clown cars :)

  6. Johann I am constantly amazed at the level of craftsman ship and detail you are putting in.

Most would just be happy to make it look like a Panzer 2 on the outside, but the detail you are going to inside the hull is amazing.

I wish you a Merry Christmas from down here in New Zealand and can't wait to see the progress over the next year.

  7. Hi All,

I'm part of a re enactment team that is preparing a mk3 6pdr for display. We're after a couple of things,

    1) Service manual, we need to give the gun a good service and we are going to return the recupertator into action so need to know oil weights etc, copies or just the info is fine.

    2) Patterns for the Breech and Muzzle covers: We have someone that can make covers for us but we have no originals or patterns to go off.

Any help much appreciated, and if you need any close up photos etc im sure I can talk to the gun owner and take some for you.

    Kind regards,

    Phil Nelson
