Does anyone have any idea how many of these RWMIK+ are coming out? or have already come out.

Thanks Clive, and Simon for your anwer.
Clive, you are bang on with the prestolite parts ref. I have just uncovered that on the box.
I thought they might be for the Generator panels but from what I can see from the parts manuals they are BCK-37 and 38 which were used in them.
Kind regards, and thank you again for your help.

37S series seemed to use H5 regulators & BCK-1 cutouts.
The details of the replacements appear in EMER POWER 0 133 Table 1 1955
As far as applications go, these were the RAF applications in 1954 taken from AP 25151E Section 16E MT Electrical Equipment
141-1 Humber LRC IIIA
141-2 Bedford MWR
141-3X Bedford QLR
142-1 Bedford MW, QL
Hi Clive
I hope you are keeping well. I have a number of CAV BCK-30 cut-outs and I am struggling to identify the fitment. The NSN is 2590-99-802-9183.
Would you happen to know in which application they were used?
Kind regards
Matt

It would be interesting to see the sold price. I looked at this champ before it went to the auction. Decided against it in the end. Albeit original, had some problems. More than I have the time and effort to deal with at the moment.

The million dollar question. How do I get 9.00 x 16 tyres for it? I can source most other things, but the tyres are a nightmare
can you get hold of any michelin XZL's in 255/100/R16? Thats what I have on my 101, and I know some Aussie Ferret owners have fitted them too as a replacement for the trackgrips

Welcome in Martin
Have you been to the Yorkshire Wartime Experience show? Near you, Hunsworth, Cleckheaton way. If not make sure you put it in your diary for next year :-)

If you rebuild it and it turns out the lever return springs are weak, I have some replacements here (unashamed self promotion):

Also, you might fine the exploded parts diagram from the parts manual of help (if you haven't seen it) See the pics on my ebay listing.

Looks like yours was converted from larkspur to Clansman, then converted back from Clansman. Then struck off. Not seen it listed like that before.
36 year service history... thats going some :-)

A fantastic job on the bins, and everything else :-)

Hello
Was trying to find the registration number on my Mk.1/2 which is usually stenciled above the driver's hatch. Found nothing there thus far, is there another spot on the hull where the reg number might be painted I could look?
My last ferret, 00EA85 also a Mk.1/2 had it's reg redone above the driver's hatch everytime it was repainted & evidence of the earlier stenciling was easy to find. My current Mk.1/2 looks like it never had it up there.
Regards,
Matt
You could have a look at the front Glasis plate? Sometimes had them on there (other side of the drivers feet)
Cheers

Not really new I think
I can remember Dad having a funnel like that back in the late 60's. Just had a very fine gauze in it
But this one removes water :-) Good link, thanks

Hi
Well done with the bleeding. Would you be able to post a picture of the failed components, so we can see where exactly it failed.

Welcome to the club Ian
It sounds like you have got straight into it :-)
Something which has just come to mind. I have two Land Rover 101's and I am a member of the 101 club. The club runs a popular parts shop for members only. 101 Dampers have always been an issue as they are now unobtainable. Is this something which you may be interested in? Off the top of my head working out a price for referb/recon of originals or a run of new replacement units for the club shop.
Both the General service model and the ambulance use different dampers (not sure about the radio body), so this further adds a little complexity to the issue. But at the right price I am sure many members would take up the opportunity to purchase a spare set.
Cheers

I've also got a few of these tools going spare, NOS and sealed, perfect. If anyone would like one send me a PM. I can do them at £10 each plus post.

Hi lewis
I had a similar issue on my ferret when I got it. It started to cut out on the road. It turned out to be connection issues inside the switch panel itself. Primarily the Ignition switch. I removed the switch panel and stripped it down. It was caused by some old electrical contact grease which had degraded causing continunuity issues, especially on the ignition switch. Cleaned up the internals in the box and it's been fine since. I remember it was a total git to get out and refit, on hands and knees perched on the drivers seat. I should have removed the seat in hindsight and maybe laid flat on the hull floor.
Good luck
Matt
