Hi guys thanks for the replys I took mine apart last night and managed to sort it after you unpeel the pressed metal carefully they are fairly easy to sort on these with abit of engineering skill :-)

long shot but have you tried the tank museum or the Bastogne barracks as they have loads of spare parts?

To be honest I think you are going to struggle to get it registered in a month even if the inspection was done today and the paperwork sent off today

The DVLA don't usually move that fast.

morning , hope I can het some help on here as am hoping to get my gmc road registered in the UK to take to Bastogne in 2 months time, I have done the nova part and I have the dvla forms all ready to send off all im waiting for is the vehicle verification to be done, now I understand the MVT are voluntary and can take some time to do which is understandable I just wondered if there is anywhere else that can do it for me, im on the south coast near Portsmouth, sorry if this has been covered before I looked through previous threads and couldn't find much to help

Hi I have just done the deal and have got a Gmc, however its in Holland, its on the road registered and insured, I want to drive it home however I cant seem to find anyone to insure me on the chassie number to drive it on the road, can I drive it back on his insurance if he puts me on his policy in Holland?

Is the Dodge already registered in Holland? if it has the Dutch equivilent of a V5 registration document stating year of manufacture it will make things easier to register it with DVLA,

Hi guys and galls im looking at importing a vehicle from Holland its a 1943 dodge, does anyone no what costs are involved with this to get it on the road as hmrc are putting up walls at every turn, obverlesly I don't want to import it and have huge bills that out weigh the costs of getting it from there

it looks in very good condition, its had a rebuild but not finished engine runs loverly breaks need looking at as its been in storage, and its in Holland

Thanks for the replys. I've found a few photos from the baor. There's evidence that they were used It seems like the unit would modify them to there requirements unlike the moden recce vehicles that come ready made.
