They were the standard 5 inch rims for Lightweights. Original tyres being 6.50 x 16 - which are almost impossible to find now!

I have seen these modified wheels fitted on MOBAT Recoilless Rifles. Others may be able to confirm if it was a modification specifically for MOBAT.

On a Champ they are wired / labelled GR = Ground (Earth) BK = Brake (Not used originally as no brake lights were fitted) . TL = Tail Lights and SL = Number Plate Light / Convoy Light The Rover 6, 7 , 8 and 9 Handbook also indicates similar wiring I think if you look closely R is actually B also there is a T to the left of L so that terminal is TL so it makes sense

William, Please see scan of the Rover 8 (Land Rover Series 2A) wiring diagram / key which has the same 6 way switch with ignition key. You should be able to work something out based on that. Richard

I have a trailer from the same contract -58BL33. I have just tried the RLC Vehicle Search and they do not appear to have records for 58BL33 or 71BL30. Oddly my plate is incorrectly stamped as a Mark 2 even though the chassis number, VRN, Chassis type and body are clearly a Mark 1.

I had the same result, however if you search on Google for adblock plus you can then install it. It's working fine now - normal service has been resumed!

See picture of extinguisher with 101 parts 'decal' The decal does tend to 'scuff' under the clamp but it is not visible when assembled. Also the 'decal' is vinyl so you can see the edge of it if you look closely.

Looks like a Mark 1 with 3 periscopes for the driver (rather than one in the Mk2). Checking the VRN it started life as an Caernarvon and was / is at Shrivenham
