The matador you are looking for is now owned by my brother it was bought a couple of years ago from a timber contractor who had bought it from some new age travellers ,it was fitted with a new engine by jack henley some years ago but this had suffered from a cracked cylinder liner all parts have been found for its repair and it will be moved to the workshop soon to start the work, it is still in henley livery complete with recovery crane and will be restored the same hope this helps ben freer

  7. if anyone knows where there are any buried or abanonded tanks, armour, vehicles , etc and they want to retreive them i have heavy winching vehicles and access to low loaders which would handle most heavy armour . i would not be interested in a recovery operation unless full permission by the owner ,land owner ,and local authorities, is granted . If you have a recovery project but dont have access to the recovery equipment please PM me with the details .

  9. travelling on the M11 northbound about 1/2 mile south of north weald airfield there is a large shed where firewood is being stored and cut up ,just past this is a tracked carrier possibly a 432 in white with UN painted on the side hiding in the trees ,i was in a lorry so might be difficult to see from a car . looking on google it it seems to be on a farm near epping, coppersale common ? anyone nearby know whos it is ?

  11. As the REME museum is involved the museum vehicle collection will probably be at there disposal but if they need another scammell pioneer sv/2s i have one that could be used .I also have access to several derelict ww2 lorries which could be used for film scenes which involve dismantled or accident damaged vehicles or vehicles on tow .

  15. road bridges have there height marked if they are under 16 ft so if not marked they must be 16ft or over so 16ft must be the standard height for major road bridges , it is an offence if you dont know your vehicle height which must be clearly displayed in the vehicle . blackwall tunnel has a 15ft 6in clearance southbound and 13 ft clearance northbound so allways check bridge clearances with your load . i drive an 8 wheel grab lorry and a 6 wheel plant lorry so i look out for bridges all the time even when driving my land rover i pull over to the middle of the road and look in the mirror for the crane which is not there ! then look at the puzzeled look of the oncoming motorists who wonder why iam driving down the middle of the road :nut:
  16. ive done this with my fordson major
  17. 3 ton crane winch 8 ton chassis winch ?got to be better than forceps
  18. people ask me why ive removed the undriven front axle from my militant and replaced it with a driven one , i didnt but grampian council did when they rebuilt lt for snow plow work 0859 395 6x6 militant
  19. i am also having to suffer this programme sounds similar to the steering system fitted to a explorer :-D
  20. i once saw a aec militant mk 1 fitted with 1600x20 tyres the front axle used the mk 3 militant wheel rims but the rear axles used the original mk 1 milly rims which are the same as a matador . the militant mk3 rims might have a wider offset so this could give a better lock when fitted on the front .
  21. that looks like a( noyce) matador on the left !
