I have found that on my Hotchkiss the voltage needs to be right up tp 24v plus and once it drops starting can be a problem.

Nothin at all to do with MV's but got starting problem with my '96 Fiat Ducato 1.9D She is a swine to start from cold and with weather now- bad news!! Have replaced heater plugs and tested them before and when fitted. Seems like a cold start problem on pump or somewhere Anyone any ideas? ps Tested injectors-fine
