  1. Hi All. It’s been sometime since I posted on here, with several projects simultaneously taking place hours in the day are becoming harder to come by.
i have been following Jans saddle write up for both rider and pillion, extremely interesting.

This week I purchased what I was convinced at the time to be a WD pillion seat but now I am not sure……it’s the front and rear springs throwing me.

    comments welcomed.

  2. A lovely Velocette, Geoff!
I have a MDD ready for a repaint and I am currently piecing back together a MAF, too.

Should you consider parting with the MAF contract plate fitted to your MDD, I would have a very good home for it!

    a few pictures added!

  3. Hi Folks! I am progressing rather slowly but progress all the same! I have now obtained the correct horn and wondering if anyone can share with me photos of the correct bracket and appropriate dimensions. Thank you so much!!

  4. Another day and a little bit further I go…..lots of progress made and not that many parts left to find.

The primary chain case is from a later model. I am in two minds wether to adjust what I have or keep an eye out for the correct one. From what I can see the correct case is hard to get hold of….

  5. Thanks Ron.

This is really helpful, I think I can see where the problems is, for some reason the peg is not pushing back far enough to the frame, on the off side, maybe the distance collar is to long?….

  6. My foot pegs arrived yesterday, from what I can see from the part number they initial appear to be the correct parts (29-7550) After fitting the off side peg I noticed it was extremely close to the gearbox lever. I know the bike is only temporarily pieces together but something is not quite right……

  7. Ron, thanks for that, much appreciated. This gives me the information I need to press forward.

Are part lists/manuals available for the rigid C10?
probably a good idea I invest in them.

  8. Yes. It appears the triangle is painted onto the dull bronze green. Its strange it was under the number plate. I have seen plenty of period motorcycles with the white tips to the mudguard but this triangle intrigued me. The bike itself is 90% original, it’s nice to find these little gems.

  9. So it looks as if I had some of the missing bits all along! 😂 I spend this afternoon reconstructing the rear end. Still some fabrication to to do but it’s starting to come together.

I finally got around to removing the rear number plate, low and behold a white triangle is painted on the bottom of the mudguard. I have no idea what it signifies, has anyone any idea?
