  1. Hi Graham, Yup still on, few more folk expressing interest which is great,..re the food thing, I'll look into it,........see you at Laughton, and yes, I'll have the SLOE GIN..............:cool2:
  2. I hear Jacks even going to leave an (empty) jerrycan in the cab for the driver to use............:cool2:
  3. Think my friends won an award, there..........Home Front, 'pub', display.
  4. Hi Paul, Good luck, mate. Let us know how you get on. The centurion Tank that once graced Eastbourne's seafront has been saved, and from what I understand, is to be restored. It is still in the sussex area. All the best, Andy
  5. Hi Jez, welcome to the Friendly Forum. Look forward to seeing some of your off road racing pics. (few of us on here are ex awdc mudpluggers.........) All the best, Andy
  6. I'm biased, I guess, but I enjoy seeing the Brit and Canadian vehicles at shows,...............great thing is numbers seem to be increasing As to my favourite,...........well, whilst I think I'd like an Albion CX225/FN15N, being realistic, I wonder if I could live with one,......ditto a Matador. (by this I'm meaning working on them and storing them) Having looked to part with my Bedford, in the past, I guess I'm not ready to let her go, so..............:-D Andy
  7. Saw this in the listings,.....as you say, tis a funny time to go on air,...although, timeings of some other wwii related progs have been quite late of an evening,.......well, they are if you have to get up before dawn the next morning........
  8. Sounds OK to me,..........just hope I can get time off.........
  9. Looks good Dave. ..............even though its not BRITISH....:cool2: Seriously, nice one, mate. Andy
  10. I've got wood shavings, wrapped in black bin liners, in mine; Good points, they are light and pack well; Less Good points they are light, so building a 'wall' type emplacement, they do tend to fall over, (I've sort of got found this problem by driving metal stakes into ground and building wall between them,......then covering said stakes with spare hessian,....seems to work ok. Having said that, next ones I'll add small amount of pea shingle, well wrapped, to filling. Andy
  11. Seem to have been struck by a sort of lurgy. ( joys of working with hospitals ) so I will not be attending this event.............Sorry Mark, for my no show; Hope all have a grand time. Andy
  12. Ok, in response to all who've asked, site is just outside Heathfield East Sussex.
  13. Hi Steve, welcome to the Friendly Forum. All the best, Andy
  14. 'fraid not, Mark;........will be at Mil Mayhem. See you at FOT following w/end ?? Andy
  15. Hi Richard, I was sitting with friends further down the field where your Bedford was,.........Folkstone Home Guard, and the movement I refered to was seemingly coming and going from an entrance onto road near there; Didn't say it was a problem,........just supprised it was happening during show time, thats all. Andy
  16. :rofl::rofl::rofl:..................I heard the 60,000th and 1 didn't recognise him with his 'new look',............:cool2:
  17. Absolutly Blinking Fantastic. Very well done, that man, I'll second Enigma's thoughts. As someone who also collects for H4H, (how many of us do, on this Forum) I'm constantly amazed by the generousity shown by general public towards this worthwhile cause. Andy
  18. I went on sat,..........will defo go next year, with Bedford; (not happy re the paying as non IMPS member, though, but thats another point) As a mop, show was very good, and certainly 'ticked' most of the boxes,......was rather supprised about the amount of vehicle movement during the day, though.(both military and non, - and no, don't think they were all heading for arena.) Site was good, nice and flat, and toilets seemed to do what they should. As a 1st show at the location, 'Nice One'. Good to meet CW and PW, Cripp, (cheers for bacon butty), lee and Ian, Richard, Mark - and Naughty Nurse ,............not forgetting our illustrious (short haired :cool2:) leader, who was lurking within tent :-D when I saw him. Andy
  19. Opps,.....whatever takes your fancy, Graham. :-D Chris, have pm'ed you. :-D
  20. :-D must admit to not having been into it, for a fair while,......although I'm guessing its changed a bit, (unfortunatly.) twas good watching the wallpaper unfurl from the walls, some nights when the place really got warm. Guess I should have said, if you like steam engines, then, 'come on down....................'
  21. :sweat:carefull guys, all this talk of the old style AWDC,............make's me feel Oooooooooooooooooooooooold.:shake: Just how many of us are out there in HMVF land;.....yup, that includes you CW. ......:-D
  22. Lee, I did see this event posted,.......BUT, as I'm in East Sussex and your in Essex, I don't think there's that much of a problem. I to support the work for H4H, and will be collecting, if that is what you are refering to,......also, as you know, to be able to orgainise any event, we are in the hands of landowners, etc, so choice of date is'nt always one's first choice. Andy
  23. Hi all, as the title says, an end of season wind down event held in east sussex. No beer/food on site, although 'interesting' pub just down road If interested pm me, this MAY lead to a full military rally next year, but as I say, this year, more of a chill out do. Andy
  24. I'm confused,..............my kettle NORMALLY goes on a GAS FLAME,.......whats this pronto method; :cool2: See you there, mate. Andy Oh, Dave, don't forget the inflatable item we spoke about t'other day;........
  25. Looking to visit as a mop, on sat. Maybe's see some of you there. Andy
