  1. I noticed that when I signed up for the forum that you are able to create albums . Is there a way of viewing all the albums that are available or do you have to go into each persons profile to see if they have one. If there is no shortcut could one be added also is there a page for photos of all the membrers vehicles? If so where ?
  2. Mine would have had the Larkspur to start with but it did have a Clansman fo rthe later half of its service. I would fit either so long as I can get the complete set and also at the right price!.
  3. I needs some photos of the insides of the turret of the Centurion as I need to see the radio set up, If anyone as a photo of teh inside of a Cent BARV radio set up even better, also need photos of the inside of a sabre turret for same reason. Also if anyopne has the gen of how the clansman would have been set up for both would appreciat it. Have been looking for a maintanance manual for teh RR Meteor engine used in the Cents, not having much luch , and I need a head gasket for the same.
  4. Its usualy the last weekend in june. Is always listed in old Glory.
  5. Sorry to say thaty when I contacted the council about loaning by BARV to the Citys museum they where less than helpful and a lot of the parts where made in Sheffield. I have had major problems with vandels and had no help from the Police. History seems to be a dirty word for a lot of folk today and there is little interest in our heritage. It is sad that one of the biggest steel producing cities in the country has little to show of all the things made from Sheffield steel.:argh:
  6. I had planned to take it to war and peace this year but had a few stangs which stopped my. I do hope to take it out about 3 times a year funds allowing. One show is close to home the Sheffield steam rally which has a large play pen which you can run it around. if I can will tkae it to the victory show and do plan to take it to war and peac next year. want to see it next to teh Sherman BARV. Will put up some photos when I get chance.
  7. The RAF form is the 700 series not the 600 , this is the log for any faults and repairs, modifications, snags.
  8. My BARV is now at Doncaster Air Museum for those interested. Took it there last weekend with the help of Frank of M B Heavy Haulage who gave me a very good price which could not be better for service. I am sure he is known to alot of you out there.
  9. :cry:I have still do do mine, but one of my friends did his he got one of these mini diggers that was road registered ,from memory about a 4 and a half ton rubber tracked one. simple manovers, reversing, pulling away from the curb , was done on A and B roads, took him about 40 minutes plus the questions. They wanted the vehicle pulled out of the yard ready to go when they arrived and walked at the side of the whole time. This still cost about £300 for the hire plus the cost of teh test. Same also happened for the group G test which is for road rollers, but this was done with a Steam roller. I have descided to go with Tery Brooks for mine, Bit of a treck from Sheffield though but in the long run get to have a full day in a Scorpion and his price is £500.00 all in which when you compare it to Tanks a lot is cheap. Have looked at a lot of different company who do this for teh tracked diggers and his price is still the best. Will keep you up dated , Unless there is someone in the Sheffield are who will lend me theres for the test for a small fee. I cant use my BARV for the test just cant see anything:cry:. But have had it on the road with L plates being moved short distances. Burning around 5 Gallons of juice a mile gets expensive. No road rage at all when you drive a BARV on the road ! He he.:-D
  10. The BARV is back on form once again, Getting the shoes freed was a long job though. Hope to get to War and Peace next week with the BARV. Have been told that there will be 2 other centurions there. If anyone going say hi.:yay:
  11. Thanks Have since been able to get in touch with Bob.
  12. Was there on the Saturday and was able to see her run up and fly also got a great shot of her passsing the Black buck Vulcan . It was one hell of a sight to see it flying with the Lancaster. The Typhoon was also flying but for what ever reason they did not have the 2 fly together, would have made a good show. the Mirarge that was there could have made a trio of Delta wing's in the sky. It was a very gentle display though, not quite how I rember it flying in the oll days but still better to see her fly than not at all.
  13. Having just seen the film on It looks like he was not far of recovering it , If he had a little more height he may have done it. Having spoken to display pilots in the past, there is always the question of saving themselves in preference to the public by putting the aircraft down anywhere, I would like to think the pilot knew that his actions would result in possibly being able to save himself but was certain he would not harm anyone else. There is always risk when flying so low and the public want to see these aircraft as close as possible , there is always going to be loss. I would rather there was not and no loss of life, but that as they say is life. Off to Waddington today so hope there are no such porblems.
  14. Does anyone know of any de Havilland Mosquito's flying . I knew the about one a few years back which used to belong to British Airospace, but thought that crashed. anyone know what did happen to that one and any others which may be flying or soon to fly. :???
  15. Its about time it was flying after al the money which has been thrown at it. Has anyone asked the question as to where all the money has gone. I had heard a rumour that the management of the company where on high wages rather than running it as a charity. I would feel happier giving over more than i have if I knew it was going to the Vulcan and not paying the cheif ex. I dont begrudge the engineers there wadges as they are needed. All we need know is a Victor to fly with it!
  16. I have a 1940 Indian sport scout and a 1948 Indian Cheif , My father has a 1941 military scout. Once you have riden a Indian riding a Harley comes up short. They are the best of the Yank machines. Remember what Jools Holland said, Harley Davidson, nice bike for a girl !
  17. Sods law that that would come up when it has. Thanks, at least this email address has not bounced back.
