Paul. So presumably its not chucking it down now. Does it look alright or are there lighter blotches? If there were no blotches it was pretty well dry when it rained if there are blotches it wasn't.

Another way to end up with light blotches is to leave a banana skin on the paintwork for a few days. I recently discovered this, so I suppose it could be useful if some touch-up paintwork was too dark, then plaster the area with banana skins.

I learn't this myself after replacing a wing on the Rapier recently.

The answer depends on quite a few things, what paint your using, brushed or sprayed, one coat or two!

For those of us with vehicles outside, check your weather forecast and pick a dry warm day for painting............and then pick the dead bugs out once the paint has dried

Yes i thought it was a warm weekend

! but alas! forecast is lies! lies! lies! (calm down)

I have the faint spots on the wings only, so dashed over another coat today! im sure it will have a sandstorm now! haha

Im not going for the factory look, more what the army would have done, so brush and minimal rubdown.

Lets hope now i get everything else ready for overlord!
