saracenstump
Had a day off yesterday so i thought id start the bike just to annoy the neighbours,so down to the shed open the doors, get it out and turn it round when i saw that it was leaking something?so got down and wiped it of and had a smell...mmmm...petrol.checked the fuel tap and that was off.ok weird. so started to strip it down to find fuel everywhere in the airbox, exhaust ant the plug soaked. removed the tank and checked the tap seemed ok,on wet,off not so put it over one side. stripped the rest down and couldn't see anything that would cause it? one thing i did find was that some of the airfilter had got sucked down the airbox so that was lucky.. popped down again to day and saw that the fuel tap had leaked overnight so problem solved, need new seals. hadn't rode it for a couple of months and that small leak would have flooded the cylinder over that time,so more expense..lol
paulob1
fuel taps drive me crazy, they all start to leak over time and I have never found replacing the seals fully cures them...
