In the back of this document, which in my work circle is called the "Blue Book", is civilian equivalent standards.

Hi Petop,

Likewise, I also have been using the Blue Books for years and do have an early Sixties copy as well, which covers some types no longer listed, so helps when working with older vehicles.

Just two comments with your list, OX-320 was a colloidal graphite oil which was used as an additive in tracta housings of certain armoured vehicles. From recollection, the tins showed the maker as Atchesons, who produced DAG lubricants. (Slick 50 is nothing like this product).

AL-39 is not a methanol-alcohol type of antifreeze, it is a Ethanediol type.

XG279>>>>>>>>>>> Calcium based grease>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Calcium based grease

I know there is somebody who has widely stated this.

But XG is a miscellaneous grease. A calcium (lime) based grease would be prefixed LG.

Hello,

Does anyone have a source for LG 320 grease or know a civilian equivalent?

Andrew,

LG320 was superceded many years ago, so you must be looking at an old servicing schedule. The last grease specified for Ferrets was XG279, which is just a normal mineral automotive grease, nothing special.

Great thanks. Yes I was using an online version of the manual which must be an early one.
