Breaking down is expensive, I was on the A34 going north at Abingdon, I had just passed the slip, The was no choice but professional recovery, they eventually sent two wagons out, one for the antar, an Artic Slider, and another for the Dyson trailer, loaded with Douglas, and the living van behind that.

The 15 mile journey up the A34 to Oxford and back down the other side to Didcot where we changed the engine cost £450. The Engine cost £3000, and lost time and other expenses meant the whole episode cost about £5000. And the Air compressor ran it's bearings twenty miles from home just to cap it all...

Some people may spot PikeyMatt in the far left of shot. My thanks to him and everyone else who worked so hard to get me home...
