HF :-D aided and abetted by Mrs HF :-( Cavorted on. The thing about boy sailors climbing the rigging ended in tragedy a few years ago when one fell to his death. IIRC H&S promptly outlawed it. Tony B Posted December 5, 2007 Share Posted December 5, 2007 Went part of theway up HMS Ganges mast years ago, NOT stupid enough to stand on the button. There was a big 1 inch manila rope net. The ropes were joined with big lead seals. story was one Petty Officer drunk climbed the mast fell dropped onto the net and bounced onto the roof of one of the buildings. 153 feet 4 and 3/4 inch if i remebr correctly.
