My Grandad drove a Bren Gun Carrier in WW2 in the 2nd Glasgow Highlanders as part of the 15th Scottish Division. His carrier was named Ypres. I intend to make a model of it, what I am after is how were the vehicles numbered? Is there information anywhere that lists units and their vehicles numbering systems and also how they were named?
