Norton Big four

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I'm new to this site

My dad is restoring a big four ( he's not computer savvy at nearly 88)  does anyone have and sidecar body plans they could send me or have a big four we could measure?

We are in Surrey between Heathrow and Windsor

many thanks

You could try Stuart Bray Motorcycles: 01323 488148  they currently have a listing on Milweb.

I don't think Stuart will be able to help much. Here is my Big 4 with original restored body. I have quite a few drawings with dimensions.  The timber used was hardwood, what I'd call "one inch prepared" so actually 7/8" thick. PM me with your email address and i'll send them to you. Bless your dad for still having a go at 88👍 Ron

Oh yes, for sure! I've been getting these parts made for well over 20 years and sent all round the World. Sadly my engineer is retiring this month, so the last parts have just gone off to Australia, New Zealand and Malta. I have all the drawings, but doubt I'll find anyone at his prices?  Ron

Ron, you really should go off-roading with the SWD Big 4. I'm an experienced passenger who doesn't mind getting muddy Just give me a shout 🙂

Some very nicely made parts there, always good to see. Its a good job I don't have a Big 4 or I'd be having to add a chair with a driven wheel !
