Tracks for your Wheeled MV?

Recommended Posts

Nothing new, it was already tested in WW1 on Delahaye and Latil trucks.😉

Looking at the video again I'm wondering what is being fitted to the wheel hub and why as I thought the drive was via the wheels?

The hub attachment looks to be a means of retaining the tracked unit to the wheel. In some of the stills at the end there appears to be a short turnbuckle between the yellow frame/guide of the track unit and the hub attachment

Lower version of the Cuthbertson Land Rover

Not quite as involved as the Cuthbertson idea  🙂

There are other products like this around for various vehicles such as Mattracks etc but I suppose the USP for these are their ease of use and quick fit.  Looking at the requirements I cant see many Defenders having the power or LSD, Range Rover maybe, but would you...

With 'TrackNGO (above) I wonder how the movement of the track unit is limited otherwise if you go up a steep bank, one end of the unit might bash in to something on the underside of the vehicle!
