Kloud Nine
Hi Folks, Can anyone tell me what the engine I.D. is on a K9? I'm told it's a rolls royce b6? Been pouring over the workshop manual and parts list but there's no mention of what the engine is actually called. Any ideas? Thanks, C. Nick Johns
The K9 Engine is Austin's own successfull 4 litre 6 cylinder petrol engine used extensively in their civilian & military Commercial range of trucks, Google search Austin Loadstar, used through the 1950/60s it was also fitted to the Austin Princess Limo, .its Not a Rolls B60 engine.. but Do not mistake it for the 1967 Austin Westminster Vanden Plas 4 litre R which the engine was derived from the Rolls B60, but was only used in the Vanden Plas R car https://www.gunmart.net/militaria/military-vehicles/jeeps/austin-k9-truck Edited November 20, 2018 by Nick Johns
