Factory Making Bikes And Mini Bikes (1943)

As a 13 year old in 1963 , we used to buy BSA Bantam 125's  for £5 , top $ was £15, the problem was the head gamekeeper (in fact my mate's old man) used to chase us off Lordy's castle estate roads.  However my mate obtained a Corgi folding motorbike for  £15 and that was acceptable, I did not like it because the front forks had two small shot-bolt to secure - these were well worn , the steering wonder was terrible.  I ended up doing a BSA exchange + £25 almost for a Welbike .  My old man was aghast at his philistine son.  He was a Norton 500cc man , having spent 6 years with the RE in North Africa , Italy etc.
