sexton
We have a Scimitar with the Cummins diesel upgrade. We don't have any manuals for the diesel conversion. There is a spring-return toggle switch on the i/p, up for heating and down for starting. But we don't have the heating "toaster" element below the intake elbow that stock civilian Cummins came with. Just a spacer with no electrical connections. Do the CVRT diesels have a different type of heater? Thanks, Malcolm
andym
I think you'll find that the cold start kit, including heater and provision to use an extra set of batteries, was only fitted to vehicles intended to be started below minus 10 degrees Celsius. At that stage you were also supposed to use AVTUR rather than diesel. Andy
