Hi Andy no it was not Mark's Abbot....

In that case could you let me know its VRN when you've got a moment?  I'm keeping a loose register of where the remaining Abbots are.  Mine is 08EB10, for reference.

Woo hoo, Monday, we put the application in for the museum, we are ready to go...we have every thing ready..we have the site ready, the coffee shop building ready the car park ready the entrance planned the reports all done...if we can now get planning we will then level off the initial storage area and build cheap open sided sheds or a single low story shed...the latter being my  preference...once this is done  we should then be opening sometime next year...the big moment is nearly upon us...

I have a lot of work to do prepping some of the vehicles but the plan is that i want to use the museum to restore many of the artefacts and use visitors and volunteers to help build the museums fleet...and make the museum interesting for all people...

the first resotrations will be the frog 7 missile launcher, needs its engines sorting and then prepping for launch, the strikers needs rebuilding after being stripped ready for paint...the chieftain is a forever project...the BTR60...needs light work, the BTR50 needs a lot of work and will be a major long term project, just collecting parts will be hard enough...and likely we will use the MUnga jeep, as an easy build project for beginners...

This is good news. Best of luck with the application. Being relatively local it will be great to see the museum up and running.

The Chieftain will always be a work in progress...

so we collected another Saraccen today, this one road registered and a reverse airflow model..will be painted back to sand colour, we have to refit the cooling system fire up the engine change the points to jolly engineering points and she will be one of our demonstrators, with the musuems name on it hanging around the place...free advertising will be the plan, she will drive around each weekend in different areas...well that's the plan...

okay Yes deal done on the MIG 21, just sorting delivery, hopefully using the same company that will deliver the BTR60pb.  we will be well buggered if they turn up and the museum is then refused...

the mig is already a you tube hero...take a look...I know but the second one is real

Just submitted my comments, I would suggest any one else making comments mention its not just military its the period if we concentrate on the military we may not get a good hearing
