That's good to hear Cori. Looking forward to it, worth the round trip of 401 miles.

I have been given the go ahead to open the Application for Vehicles. (Re-enactors and Traders will open soon).

The Online Application form for Vehicles can be accessed from http://overlordshow.co.uk/vehicles/entry-form/

You will receive a confirmation via email if you specify one, or via post if you don't.

All exhibitors are required to fill out an application form, there are NO exceptions to this. If you simply turn up, we aren't necessarily going to turn you away. But you are going to be made to fill out an application form. So might as well do it now.

That was a nice sensible on-line form, with a space for comments/requests & even a "sleep in MV" option that few show entries provide.

Thought it might be a good idea to bump this back to the top.

We've got a good 20 different re-enactment groups (over 250 re-enactors) who've sent their applications in, over 120 vehicles in. Traders are slowly coming through too. We're about where we should be in terms of applications. But remember we are insisting everyone makes an application rather than to just show up at the show.

You can find the application forms on the website under the drops downs Vehicles/Re-enactors/Traders etc.

Only 4 days to go until the applications close.

If anyone is interested in making applications they should do so, asap.

The RB44 is now safely parked up - gorgeous weather this afternoon as things start to come together, but forecast for rain first thing tomorrow. Might damp down the dust a bit!

(I see we've still got the unwanted thumbnails problem!)

Impressive set up you have there Andy, thanks for guided tour would have been longer had I not had to exit because of hay fever, managed to bypass total eye closure with 2 hours wearing S6, always a good indicator of how warm it has been :(

Thanks Clive - currently watching nature's impressive firework display with sound effects and glad I dropped the mast overnight!

Yes I bet you are, at one stage lighting was very close. Woken up after first strike I realised yagi mast was still up, got that down quickly but the 4 section whips would not easily come out of the base, was a bit scary whilst wrestling with it there was another strike nearby so perhaps not such a clever thing to do!

Great show, nice to see the Royal Armouries Sexton at the show.

On Friday the inside of my 9x9 was lit up by one of the lightning flashes, the lightning display was impressive

Cheers

Richard

I'm still here, but many thanks to work put in by organisers a most enjoyable show again. I found the toiletries were kept well maintained, I think you would agree Rambo as you have a keen eye on these matters :D

Funnily enough I was going to say something about the toilets too - nicely looked after and very pleasant to use.

A real shame about the weather yesterday, but what do you expect for a Bank Holiday Monday? A lot of people had drifted away by lunchtime and when I volunteered to take the RB44 round the arena for the 4pm Post-War vehicles show I was the only one there!

All in all, good fun. Thank you very much to the organisers.

Andy
