doug fleet
had my 16 year old son spraying son bits for me today while I cleaned up some more of the framework behind the cab. I sprayed them bits in .one of the photos shows what I think are jerry can holders underneath the armour. 2 of the photos shows what possibly bullet holes in the side. there are 4 or 5 of them down one side in different places . they don't seem to have a thread in any of them. on 1 or 2 of them it has pushed the armour out a bit on the inside . does anyone know what they are or what they did . I would be great full for any imfo. thanks .
doug fleet
only got 2 or 3 hours on it this weekend . cleaned up the rest of the frame behind the cab and primed. then spent the rest of the time scraping more mud and old grease from the chassie around the gearbox. hopefully I will get a bit more time next weekend. Know the feeling, I've been seconded for other domestic tasks lately, (been painting the shed today) and so haven't touched either Militant , recently. doug fleet
I have been trying to get as much done as I can before we start the rally season with the steam engine. but the odd hour here and there all helps push it along . should be getting the new ash for the cab frame soon but need to get all the riveting done first before I start fitting the cab again. doug fleet
as you can see , I got the cleaned up bits in primer today. so moved onto the next bit.took the 3 cages off . 2 look to be jerry can holders but the 3rd one is far to small for that so iam thinking its for a gallon of engine oil.on the good side the air bottle seems to be in good condition witch is a good thing. iam half way though cleaning this area up now . Well, I am no specialist on bullet holes, but they kind of do resemble genuine bullet impact holes I have seen on buildings here in Poland. Still, could be a good talking point at shows! trevor
