austromunga Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Hi all Here's an interesting old tool I picked up at a local charity shop...Its jaws measure 8" closed and 11 1/2" open, it has cast in marks either end of the main body "L" for left?? and "R" for right.. ..hand thread maybe!!??? and 1/2" stamped in the middle... the dia of the hex centre???, and has a sliding bar lever....it's painted in a kind of bronze green paint.. 50's British army??? me and my dad guess at some kind of spring compressor!!??? but what for!!???? any ideas ..
