sharky Posted May 16, 2014 Share Posted May 16, 2014 Afternoon all, I have just imported from belguim a 1944 Marmon Herrington H-542-11 also known as a M426. The parts were built by various factories in the US then final build were carried out by international harvester(6678 built), kenworth(1100) and Marmon Herrington(3200) My unit has its original International Red 450D engine and the truck is 99%complete And will be undergoing a restoration over the near future. To a civilian owner " - Who kept the original engine and didn't swap it out for a modern diesel! Congrats to a super vehicle. Looks VERY solid. Hope you can find a nice trailer combo for it too. It seems to be rare and looks to be exceedingly original and unmolested. I am sure you'll do a first class job on the restoration going by the full detailed work you put into the early GPW and 1/2 ton Dodge recently. Fab find ...
