Chris Preston
Greetings All, We finally have our museum's Ferret cooperating with us and almost road-ready. The transmission and brake issues are being resolved and we hope to have the vehicle operational and in the annual Victoria May Day Parade on May 19th. One reamaining question I have is what is the correct "Run" position for the fuel-cock mounted next to the fuel filter on the rear bulk-head of the Fighting Compartment? Is the "Run" or "Main" (tank) position counter-clockwise, to the left, or turned clockwise to the right. I can't find any indication stamped anywhere near the fuel-cock, or any mention of the correct position in any of the manuals I have. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Chris Preston, Victoria, BC, Canada

Toner
Hi. Have a look at this site (among others of course) for lots of useful info, including the dreaded 'fuel tap position'. There was a long running debate on the yahoo ferret group about which side was the main and which was the reserve side. Hopefully this pic will help out. http://www.ferret-fv701.co.uk/useful_info.htm Edited April 30, 2014 by Toner It does help if I type in sentences
rob233
After moving the fuel reserve lever, you may be surprised to see a fuel leak from the old cork gasket:blush: cheers Rob
