arcot1751
A bit of a long shot (pun intended) but does anyone have a spare L1a1 SLR breech block cut or uncut for sale ? Thanks.

Uncut would come under section 5 unless it was one of the section 1 modified blocks.

Thought so, so cut it is then :-D I have just bought a very nice early spec deactivated SLR and the only part missing is the breech block, just trying to make it complete that's all. :-)
Enfield1940
Wouldn't a deactivated one have to be done to the current spec? I.e. Permanently welded into the receiver. I can't think how you'd get a kosher old spec bolt without buying another gun. I'd have thought you were better off investigating making a non-firable replica out of aluminum or hard plastic. I think they just removed the bolt and left the block in place. I don't mind to much as you cant see it anyway and I have another 2 with the bolt so I can't complain. arcot1751
Thanks to all, looks like I will have to leave it incomplete, no worries it's still a nice piece of kit :-D
