Range wrecks

bob it's a good thing that so many chieftains are on the range it means that instead of being cut up for scrap 20 years ago many will be removed and saved in the future by idiots like me who want to preserve our armoured heritage, although i would like to think that somebody else will take up the challenge as i've enough scrap to be getting on with :D

Its just south of a village called Xylofagou but know as the Dhekeia ranges, there is also quite a few 432's the remains of a ferret and if memory serves me correct a 432 and cheftian in Berlin camo, and a 432 in white from UN service...

 

the ranges are open to the public unless the red flags are flying....

These photos are a surprise! I always thought that the Government in Cyprus would not let the British Army have tracked vehicles there (particularly the Scorpion family) and that is why Saladin stayed in service there for years after it was phased out elsewhere. Certainly did not expect to see Chieftains!
