BRDM Driver
I think you need to try the Eastern Bloc method: Take 3 cases of vodka, a large pig and 1/10th of what they want in cash, go visit them and haggle for 3 days straight (one case of vodka per day). Make sure you only bring the pig into the negotiations on the last day.... On a serious note, I think 15k euros would about right for a good one, 30k euros should get you a T72... Have you approached any UK dealers?

Have you approached any UK dealers? No I haven't seen any UK dealers, this is going to be my first Armoured vehicle and I have been looking but not many people come up selling them. I was originally looking for an M113 like I used when I was stationed in Germany in the early 80's but the US government doesn't seem to want anyone buying them. Anyhow I now have my eyes set on the bmp- chieftain looks nice but a monster to ship If you can point me in the direction of some reputable sellers I would appreciate it. Thanks again George
BRDM Driver
How about this one: http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/fr/products/vehicules-blindes-4/bmp-1-272#currency=EUR They have lots by the look of it. I have never bought anything from them, so I'm not recommending them in particular. Always worth asking on the Russian Trucks forum too. In the UK, there is Duncan Nicholson at http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk never bought anything from him either but other people on here have. ArtistsRifles
I paid £13,500 + VAT @17/5% when I bought mine in 2007 - and it had just had a 229,000 Euro refit by the Czech army. Badly in need of a paint job now though.....

ot-90
Neil.. wasn't it mortar investments that have the internal water damaged ot-90's ? or was that someone else..cant remember!
ArtistsRifles
Yeah - I think it was them... They had been parked out in the open for a while - a looong while - and had high water marks around the interior. That wouldn't bother me as much as the fact the air and exhaust openings are on the top of the hull and form natural water traps leading to hydraulically locked engines if the correct procedures weren't followed....... ot-90
nothing is impossible! just difficult sometimes . it can be done as a specific purpose vehicle for carrying tanks etc as its not tracked..and there are exemptions for such vehicles like cranes etc..
