Hi from Belfast

Hello Dave. I wonder if you have ever done any metal detecting in your dives? If so I wonder how it worked out. I have a Garret Sea Hunter Mk 2 that can work 200 ft BSL, although I have only detected to knee level BSL :D

:-D I had a `sixth sense` when diving, I could nearly smell the brass. I was diving in the 50m+ range and most metal detctors didn`t comply but it is something I would love to do now.

We dived on some ww1 liners in Donegal with 50m viz @ 80m depth and you could see the cargo etc everywhere.

Amazing.

Hi Clive,

Here is the photograph I mentioned.1-Dave.jpg

I dived a wreck called The Empire Heritage, was a fuel carrier that sank in 60m with Sherman tanks onboard.

The skipper of our boat dropped the shot line on top of a tank - awesome :D

Welcome in over here.

Have I just come across you over on the EMLRA?

That's an interesting hobby you have had there.

However with this drought I expect those skills are coming in handy:-)
