say a Russian Ural/Cossack, made to look like a 40's BMW. The advert is a bit vague though isn't it.....:-(

Yep, one of those Russian Urinals. Much favoured by German re-enacters. Ron

As others have said, it's a Russian IMZ Ural M67 made up to look BMW-like.

Seems a little strange to have absolutely no paperwork, though, considering it was running as recently as 2003, but I guess it all adds to the 'mystique'... ;)

Unless you can convince the DVLA otherwise steer clear of them unless they are currently registered either in this country or abroad prior to 1980. The sidecar cannot be used on the right hand side unless the motorcyle was registered (not manufactured) before 1980.

The knobbly tyres are also not road legal in the UK. Many of the Russian tyres like that even state 'NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE' on the sidewalls in several places.

:)...just to point out....

You could run nice hefty 'knobbly' type tyres on a bike in the UK.....

but!!!!

you do have to make sure they are marked as 'Enduro' tyres and not 'MotoCross' ones..:-\

...there's a very slight difference in the block pattern on them which means they have a 'continuous' contact with the road and are therefore legal whereas as Ferrit said quite correctly...

...........full on 'Motocross' tyres are not legal for road use...

......Enduro tyres would look just about as mean and aggressive and on such a great big hefty trundling thing as an outfit like that you wouldn't really notice the difference in performance

..cos it would probably handle like a pig no matter what tyres you put on it anyways !..hahah!....:cool2:........
