I'm guessing along the lines of a compass as its all paxoline and brass, leather handle...nothing ferrous. Unfortunately the nomenclature plate is gone. I purchased it with some interesting mil antenna components in it but I don't think these were original? all the best for the upcoming 'silly season'. Brent.
