Toolman 10 Posted May 17, 2011 Hello guys I've had this for years, please can anyone tell me more about it and what it was attached to? It's got cracking optics and I use it quite regularly, not much magnification but an extermely wide angle. Telescope Bearing No.8 Mk 1. Dated 1943. It's equipped with a bulb which presumably illuminated the cross-hairs. and obviously was designed to rotate on it's mounting. Regards Matt
Adrian Barrell 13 Posted May 17, 2011 I think it is from a director for anti aircraft fire. There was a pair of elbow telescopes, one controlling elevation and one bearing.
