When Jack drove my Range Rover part way back fron Ciney I gave him strict instructions NOT to touch the turbo boost control, the rev limiter and the traction control. Did he listen did he hell and this is what happens.

Crankshaft fractured on number 6 bigend journal.

Actually It wasnt Jacks fault, it was caused by me trying to squeeze more BHP/ torque out of the engine. Mind you it went like a scolded cat when it was running well, as Jack will confirm.

Oh well better build it stronger next time.

Jim.

Poor old Jack.

He gats the blame for everything including Global Warming, Economic crisis and the future end of the universe.

He might get let off on this one. After all the endo of the world has been predicted for 2012.

What I want to know is this before, after or during A&E?

In my experience Jack wouldn't need to have touched ANY of the controls to break something.:D

Shame this probably happened just before it was going to run out of fuel, trust Jack to get it the wrong way round :nut: If it run out of fuel first you would not be rebuilding the engine.......
