The RPG-2 is a rocket launcher, pure and simple, derived from the WW2 panzerfaust design whereas the RPG-7 is more of a recoilless weapon with rocket assisted rounds. Admittedly the two round bear a superficial resemblance so I believe the rounds have primers in differing locations. There are rumours that the RGP-7 can be modified to fire the RPG-2 rounds by shortening it - an action that would then leave it unable to fire it's own rounds..... chevpol Posted November 21, 2010 Author Share Posted November 21, 2010 Neil, thanks for that, the reason that I ask is, there are a few RPG-2 appearing with de-act dealers, as well as RPG-7, but the differance is £325 for the -2, £750 for the -7!!!
