So then people, remind me. Where were we meeting up on the convoy? When exactly? What route are we taking again?

I know this was my idea but I am not good at remembering things!!

Thanks,

Mick.

Hi all,

Right I think I have got my bearings, Meet at the Huntingdon area.Where exactly we shall have to see..... Then we go down the A1198. Steve and the two jeeps will meet us at Wimpole lodge... when exactly I am not sure. depends on what you lot want to do. Then we go straight down the A505 towards Duxford.

God thats going to look good.. anyone else who wants to join and create a humungous traffic jam.. do so now!!

Mick.

Hello Mick

IF I make it, I'll be going A141 to Huntingdon. Round the bypass to the A14 and come off the A14 at Godmanchester and on to the A1198.

But to be quite honest it's looking very unlikely that the Militant will be ready. I still haven't finished rubbing down and there's at least another week of prep work left. And then I need to put of few miles on it to get me back into the swing of driving it.

Richard

Hi All, were are giong x2 and also a Jeep, were giong via the A1198 joining at Longstowe, Arrington or Croydon then via A505, the gates open at 9 so we usually aim to get there for 9 to allow for delays on the way etc.

It's looking more likely than this time last week! Paint work is now done ( and looking very nice if I do say so myself 8) ) Hopefully if the test drives are all OK I should make it.

Hi Steve, yes at the petrol station at 8:30 would be fine, Mick are you still wanting to meet a Gransden airfeild? Good to hear your still coming Richard, If we cant all get together for a convoy to the show then we could always do one from the show.

Hello guys,

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it in the Militant. The brakes sticking on shouldn't be a problem and hopefully will be sorted out on Thursday but today I've noticed some serious cracking in one of the NOS tyres and I just can't risk having a blow out.

The Ferret is entered and so is the Land Rover but the plan was to take the Ferret on the Militant if I didn't take the FH70 and the LR is only entered as a support vehicle.

Add to the fact that it's very busy in the shop it's looking unlikly that I'll make it at all!!

I might ring Duxford up and see if I could take the ZIL instead but I would think that they don't like late changes.

Regards

Richard

Richard as long as you have a pass for the Mil then you can just say it went US so you bought the Zil instead and they'll be fine thats if they ask of coarse, and the Landy should be fine as it got a pass already and its not exactly a bright red Escort :) .

Shopnut from what Ive been told + experienced the reason you have to book in is so you get listed in the program, get a plack and to let them know roughly how manys coming, so if your not bothered about the prog then you should be fine.

Sounds like its going to be a good show.

Here's the timetable:

9:00 gates open

10-12:00 judging takes place

12:00 signing in post closes

14-15:00 cavelcade round the airfeild ( 70mph runway and 25mph peri track)

15-15:30 flying display

15:30 start of arena display

17:30 show closes

18:00museum closes
