  1. Ventured slightly out of my comfort zone at the War and Peace Revival this year and ended up purchasing an FV434 on the last day. Prior to the show I had already worked on it and recovered it from a muddy hole, so I am fairly certain it's a sound vehicle. I have applied for the forms from the DVLA, V55/5, and have a friend who has registered his FV432 and offered some advice. Obviously I need to prove it's age to avoid a Q plate as seen on an FV436 (?) at W&P. Can anyone give me a clue where the build/shell number is? I can't see it in the similar place (left of rear door, tiny plate) on an FV432. Does anyone have the GKN Sankey records for the build date? IMPS or MVT for confirmation of the information found? I assume it will have been built long enough ago to be deemed an Historic, but haven't found specific info for FV434's? Any info/comments would be hugely appreciated. Jules

  3. Hello All, I know it's a bit cheeky, but i seem to have got a bit bogged down with my 432 website. When I went to get some pics of the 439, there is obviously two different types. A... Does any one know what the proper description for a 439 is. B... What was it's purpose. C... What is the difference between the two, in as far as what are thier roles. I have asked as I want to get the site as accurate as possible as I seem to be getting a lot of interest nowadays. Thanks in advance for any info. Regards Dougy
  4. Entertaining for sure ! Something went wrong...
  5. Hello All, Some of you may now me from the fv432 website and forum, and because of this I have been asked if I had some pics of a Bulldog (in action preferably) from the girlfriend of a soldier who served on them in Iraq from 2007-09. I'm guessing that the Bulldog would have been a fully amoured version used between those dates. Unfortunately I haven't, and could only find a couple of low res pics on the internet, but she would like the best quality as possible so that she can get a pic printed and framed for her boyfriends birthday. It would be great if we can find a decent pic for them. Thanks in advance Dougy
  6. Hi can anyone out there give me some measurements for a 432 smoke discharger as i plan to make a dummy set for my vehicle ? as the closet 43 that i know of 2000+ miles away and i cant get hold of him cheers Adrian
  7. Hey guys, I'm wonder if you can help me, At work we have a FV432 which I am helping maintain, we recently had it in pieces to change the big 250V fuse in the power pack. Now its all back together and the electrical problems are fine however the idling revs are very high (around 2000 our driver said I think) All of us working on it seams to remember reading somewhere that there is a adjuster screw which can be turned up or down to lower/ raise the idling revs however none of us can seams to find any information on it although we think it is accessible through the front maintenance hatch. So my question to you guys is, if it has one where is this adjuster located? Many thanks in advance, -Christopher.
  8. hello all, I am getting ready to send my latest update for my 432 website uploaded for the end of the month. If there are any owners of the 432 family who are interested in having thier vehicle included in the list of owners, could you please send me a couple of pics, the army registration, hull number, and a rough location. Don't worry if you don't make it for this time, I do try update once a month. thanks in advance for any info Regards Dougy
