  1. This fully-prepped, fully-equipped petrol-engined Sultan served in the Gulf War with 2RA. It is road registered, hardly used since last service and ready to go.. We can help with exports if required. Price £24,500 Please call 07980 449 721 for more information Many thanks! Cheers Graham
  2. The Sabre was built from a Scimitar experimental hull and there were only four made. As far as we are aware it’s the only one left in existence, so it has a bit of provenance. It had a Scorpion turret on when it arrived at Rapid Restorations, but has since been changed to a Sabre turret. This road registered, petrol-engined Sabre still has all the prototype driver’s controls – so the dash has a key to start, no generator box, just direct from alternator. There are holes on the inside of the fighting compartment where, back in the day, the weight bar was situated to simulate crew and internals for trials. We can help with export and transport if required. Price £42,000 Please call 07980 449 721 for more information. Many thanks! Cheers, Graham
  3. Any good experiences welding Al armour here? The rear sponson on my CVR(T) was quite badly damaged plus somebody patched it with some 6061 or something and the patch just rotted out in a most impressive manner. I wound up cutting it off entirely. Now I need to find some compatible material for a replacement as well as some filler. It's about 7'1"x6"x.25" but larger would be fine (up to a point of course). It's 7017 so I believe I can use any of 7017, 7018, 7020, 7039, 5059, 5083. The documents I can find give instructions for MIG so I'd have to find some wire as well. I was actually wondering if folks had tried TIG on this stuff? If so I could just cut some thin strips off the good material I cut off and use that as filler. thanks,
  4. Here we have a rare CVRT metal model, from a Belgian Officer's Mess. The model is almost 4 1/2 Inches long, and is mounted on a nice wooden plinth. I'm asking 60 Euros plus postage for this collector's item. Jan
  5. Afternoon all, Soooo. My first problem to be solved and I'm definitely in need of some guidance from you all! I was driving the Sabre around a field having recently put about 40 litres of fuel in. She conked out at low speed and then wouldn't restart but the issue is curious and I don't know what to look at, so here's the description of what's happening: She cranks over on the starter fine and then on gentle application of the throttle, she catches and revs. As soon as I let go of the starter button, she cuts out. Hold the starter in for 2 secs and she revs normally off the throttle. Obviously, I have only tried that once as I don't want to burn it out but given that she turns over and catches and the throttle seems to be working, I'm not sure what to look at. Can anyone help please?

Replica Rarden and chain gun and spoke discharges. Spare sprockets idlers and road wheels. Full set of periscopes except for the infa-red drivers scope. The Gunners infa-red scope is still fitted to the turret. Have some spares, tools and also some CES spare intercom parts and headset, crew helmets. Have a full set of spare track with 80% wear left in them but this is by separate negotiation £3000. Located in Sheffield South Yorkshire. £22,500.00 OVNO If interested please call 0740 15 19 117. Sorry won't be supplying any further photos due to previous time wasters if your genuinely interested come and have a look :cool2: Any test drives unfortunately will have to be charged but this of course will be deducted from the final selling price. Sorry to have to add this but due to time wasters and those wanting free "tank Rides" have had to make this decisions. If genuine I see no problem and depending on the potential buyer if felt was truly interested would have paid for a ride when I was looking. As with everything over the years I had owned this CVR(T) I have been abel to get more parts and equipment to go with the vehicle.
  13. Greeting all, I'm trying to work out all the different variations of optics used on the CVRT series, partly out of curiosity and partly to fill some holes in the turret and hull. No42: Cupola periscope, any breakdown on MK# vs. application/year? No43: No44: Drivers Periscope, any breakdown on MK# vs. application/year? No48: No52: Gunners day sight for Scimitar/Sabre. Would it also fit a Scorpion? (obviously the ranging and such would be off but if I'm not shooting anybody and just want to fill the hole) No. 54 - Gunners day sight, suitable for Scorpion No. 62 - Commanders sight for Spartan and Striker No. 68, 71 & 75, Commanders day sights for Scorpion, Scimitar & Sabre. How are these different? What # are the hull-side blocks on a Spartan? thanks, P_
  14. Hello I few months ago I bought a brochure from ebay entitled "Jaguar Military Products" It's only 6 pages but describes Jaguar's manufacturing facilities, the ferret and the J60 engine and associated pre-select transmissions. Anyway, for those interested in CVRT's it has a photo of a line up of the following: 02GE37 04FF69 02FD06 05FD68 02FD98 04FF20 00GH56 Chris, have you got any of these? :-) It also has a drawing of a stonefield etc. I'm sure another copy of the brocure will come up on ebay if you are interested. Cheers Matt
