  1. If you are using eBay global shipping then they are sorting the customs declarations not you.
  2. Hi Paul, I have had radio items stopped by eBay global shipping (going to Europe) but you still get the money, the buyer still gets a refund and the items are then passed to another reseller who will just sell them with UK shipping so my suggestion is crack on and sell them you won't lose out and you won't get into trouble.
  3. Just drive to the garage, fill the other 2/3 of the tank with fresh fuel and get out and enjoy the summer.
  4. A video just popped up today, likely to be a GPMG and it's working well clearing trenches.
  5. Some of Nick Meads FV103 Spartans, I think they went to the Ukrainian 127th territorial defense brigade deployed to hold some defensive positions along the northern end of the Svatove-Kremmina line. Good luck to them....
  6. No it's the mic that identifies ANR headsets. The pic below shows a couple of different types of ANR, both work fine in the Ferret and you can mix/match but note they both have the slimline mic (one has wind cover). Any headset with a round mic as per the post a few above this one is the older non ANR headset. ANR headsets use noise cancelling to blank out all unwanted noise apart from the commanders voice, you can almost hear a pin drop with them on and you can have a conversation at 50mph in the wind.
  7. Could just be too much fuel, check the cold start (choke) is closing properly i.e. manually push it on the carb all the way closed as they can stick open.
  8. https://www.lrseries.com/ Or message Dominic Blanchard directly on facebook and work out a deal maybe, he's usually got all the kit and will do a bundle.
  9. ANR is brilliant, you can have a full conversation at any speed. Just sell all your old bits and get a couple of gold front boxes and a pair of ANR headsets. Tested headsets are on ebay about £40 each. You can tell if your headsets are ANR if they have the slim mic (as in pic below). The old round mic is not ANR. You also need the green pressel switches to work with the ANR headsets (also in pic below). As for gold boxes, you just need one IB3 and one CB2 as you can plug in 2 headsets into one CB2.
  10. Am up to episode 3 and it certainly gets better, love the music too, so does the wife ! There is a 3 part documentary at the same time (SAS: Rogue Warriors) and after watching that you can see how they have tried to base this drama around real events and done a fairly good job of it.
  11. Very tricky one, probably worth taking photos and sticking them on here that way you will get advice from people all over the UK. Jeeps are probably the most restored military vehicle so there is a wealth of knowledge available, also what mechanical issues developed ? you have to remember they are up to 82 years old and even a reconditioned part may fail but if the overall restoration was shoddy then it's not a good sign.
  12. Camped there for the weekend and I think it was the best military show we have ever been to. John and his team ran it like clockwork, the staff were brilliant with clean loos, emptied bins, friendly help and an awesome environment. It has the feel of a small family show while hosting impressive quantities of quality armour plus the beer tent and evening shows were brilliant too. Can't wait till next year.....
  13. Think you just bought mine off ebay with the links ?
  14. According to Wikipedia The revival hosts around 4000 military vehicles[3] including tanks, armoured personnel carriers, armoured cars, amphibious vehicles, motorcycles, as well as light, medium and heavy military wheeled vehicles. The 2015 show attracted over 100,000 visitors during its five days. Sounds like it could be only 20% of it's former self.....
  15. https://www.ferretspares.com/ces-tools-copy-3 They are selling the Jolley kits £359 which is cheaper than Jolley themselves
  16. I got a pair from eBay, Type 096 100 78ah which are a bit over spec but fit nicely and were £86 delivered for the 2 from numberonebatteries. I did use a 10% eBay discount voucher so they will be a bit more without one. Don't forget to take your old batteries to the scrap man, I got £14 back for the 2 old ones so overall it was a £72 upgrade 😁
  17. I just helped ship a batch of helmets, gore-Tex, torches, sleeping mats, jackets, trousers, boots etc. My neighbour has family fighting and they have a vehicle transporting directly to them, they even add UKR insignia. I was able to source a load of surplus stuff from a local shop at trade price (and loads donated FOC) so a few of us clubbed together. I'm sure there are a hundred situations like this in every area. Last week they were civilians, this week they are dug in the forests, they need everything especially medical supplies. The kit list they suggested includes: Medical equipment Sterile dressings Surgical tape Wound closure strips Banndages Tourniquets Haemostatic drugs Body armour Helmets Handheld flashlights Head torches- preferably with red light setting Encrypted walkie talkie radios. Night vision Thermal imaging Waterproof ground sheets Dry bags-Dark colour
  18. I have a few that I have repainted and I can stencil in your military reg all for £13 delivered, drop me a PM
  19. I did it on mine, adjusted the screws to increase the charge voltage but after a year or so the regulator just disintegrated due to age and corroded parts so I dropped in a solid state regulator and that's also been fine.
  20. Just throw on a battery isolator and the problem will magically go away and may even act as a theft deterrent.
  21. Tons of info in this document: https://chobhamcommon.wordpress.com/ I fly RC planes on "Tank Hill" so am up there regularly, if you fancy an explore let me know....
