  1. We are going to make all the seats. 15 in total for 4 projects. We have pattens for the 2 C shaped pices under the side seats but don't have a patten for the support tube that goes under the inside front corner of the side seats. You should be Ok to use an old casting as a patten and cast directly. Just fill any drilled holes with filler and take to a local foundry. This is what Alastair did with these parts. I have had small parts cast from origanal bits with very good results. Peter.
  2. I have just picked up a hitch for my trailer. I still need an ID plate if any one is getting some good reproductions made and a set of tie down cleats/hooks. Peter.
  3. I had the best ones! Some of the tires are coming off the rims Peter.
  4. Hi Richard, The tank picture I posted was OY which is larger and has a slightly different filler neck but the fitments and pipes are the same just longer stand pipes in side the tanks. Peter.
  5. I have never seen one but are the early Bedford fuel caps pressed steel? Could the right hand cap be one? Peter.
  6. Hi Richard, The right hand tank in the 1st picture on the other thread is the correct drain. The right hand tank on the truck should be a stand pipe with a 90 degree turn with thread for 1/4 BSP pipe nut. The left hand tank should be a stand pipe with a push pull tap. There should be a push pull switch over tap on the right hand chassis rail just behind the cab. I will try to post some pictures over the week end. Peter.
  7. The cam plug is also behind the bell housing. Got that wrong! The core plug is between and below the 2 bolts and is an engine out job. Peter.
  8. The core plug is under the bell housing between the mated surfaces. Have you mistaken the plug at the end of the camshaft for the core plug? I have an engine with the bellhousing off and I will try to post picture tomorrow. Peter.
  9. Hi Mark. This is the box I am looking for. PM sent.
  10. I have managed to get some pictures of the leads I am looking for. I will buy a set or single leads. Peter.
  11. I am looking for a set of leads [5 red and 5 black] for a British UC 10 telephone exchange. I am also looking for the box that attaches to the side and an original operators manual. Peter.
  12. Hi Pete. These plates are only 1mm although I did lay a 18" squire 12mm plate over the top of the tooling and pressed over the centre of each of the 3 ribs. When I have done thicker plate in the past I have kept moving the jack along the tooling and pressing each time. You need to put the time in to the tooling to get it right. It needs to be a close fit to get a good crisp Finnish but to close and you and you cut the rib out. Peter.
  13. Hi Nicky. I have the brackets all painted up just need to find them. Peter.
  14. The tooling is made from 8mm plate and I use a 30ton bottle jack to press. I will make a few extra sets to cover the costs of the tooling. Peter.
  15. I have finished the tooling to press the ribs in the right hand engine splash plate and have made a good start on the left hand tooling but the belt on my drill is slipping and will have to be replaced. I have got a right hand plate almost done, it just needs fitting but there is a small bracket on each plate that I need to find. Peter.
  16. I have made 3 drivers seat frames today one for myself, one for Alastiar and one for Clive. Peter.
  17. There is no mention of the pick and shovel in the hand book but they were carried. There is a bracket for wire cutters listed in the 1944 OY parts book. I have seen similar brackets the same size in other makes of British trucks. My theory is there is another list of equipment required to be carried by all types of trucks that is not part of the vehicle tool kit. Peter.
  18. This is a picture of the plates on my OY. Although they look good they have a lot of pin holes and old weld repairs. I plan to make a few sets up to sell to cover the costs of the tooling. I will post some pictures at the weekend. If your not interested If you PM your address and I will and I will send you some paper templates. Peter.
  19. yes the plates are original although one of the plates in the picture has been remade without ribs. I am making some tooling up at the moment to press the ribs. just got to find time! I will try to post pictures tomorrow. Peter.
  20. I should have these parts on an old broken OY steering box. I will have a look if you give me a couple days. Peter.
  21. Sorry Commander they are sold subject to payment. Peter.
