  1. Some nice pics here taken by local photographer Richard who attended the show in 2009: http://www.rjkytephotography.co.uk/c0103/c0103.html
  2. Not at all, I think its a great show at a fantastic venue, I was just amused by them getting their numbers wrong (one of the main reasons I walked away) even though I politely let them know of their mistake.
  3. Wartime in the Vale, 16 & 17 June 2018, Big Bamg 10th Anniversayr Show. I'm not involved but thought it would help to give a heads up now, especially as it will be the 10th!
  4. How peculiar that my previous question about plans for the 10th Anniversary Celebrations have gone unanswered & Q deleted from Facebook. Oh well best to re-do your plans & advertising as you can't count! (Part of the reason as to why I walked away) I set this show up in 2009 with Neil & Bob so this year is not the 10th! 👍🏻
  5. I wonder what plans they've got for the 10th Anniversary Big Bang Show?
  6. Robin just makes people smile all the time & here's another of the Buffalo with some Marines
  7. Thanks Clive, drone pics will be helpful with planning for layout next year. Taken by a friend with a vehicle, who is quite experienced with drones, as you have to be 50m from structures & people so can do from the middle of the arena & before any one asks, yes he/drone are insured for flying. Maplin is quite a good place to buy them from.
  8. And hope my daughter left this tidy! And missed these French spies but glad pic was taken
  9. Ah yes, but VW Chassis & painted with Saddolin so should have at least 5yrs, haha
  10. Yes would be a good advertising tool. Had electric windows, aircon, leather seats & just a button to open the doors, clearly a clever engineer, but definitely the most photographed vehicle on the night.
  11. Does this count? You could probably work on a bike in the back. Based on a written off VW Passatt 2.8V6 4 Motion, seen at a classic car gathering in May, at Wichford in the Cotswolds, as it arrived everyone just bust out laughing, but it was so well done.
  12. And enjoyed the Merlin in the model Spit being fired up at about 10.30 at night...
  13. A few more of the tracked vehicles... more to follow as & when I receive them.
  14. A short drone video of the whole site, taken early Saturday evening after the public had left & just after a rain shower hence not many people about, but for those that have not been before it will give you some idea as to what the event is like. https://www.btcloud.bt.com/?shareObject=67f13792-2a5e-9405-687a-2852da602619
  15. Just to confirm that the dates for Wartime in the Vale will be 18 & 19 June 2016, so it does mean we will be clashing with A&E, but we've clashed before & don't think it had much impact on either event due to distance apart & type of events. As Ade mentioned we discussed a location option, where Spitfire was this year, so below are a couple of pics to show approximately where, with meterage to be confirmed nearer the time. And would create an extra entrance/exit in that corner of the arena. So hope this helps, but realise you might still need to consider other events. cheers Paul
  16. In addition to all the new vehicles that attended we also had some great displays around the camp brought to life by many re-enactment groups...
  17. Hi Clive, it went very well thanks, so have started a new thread for pics. cheers Paul
  18. Well I'm still recovering from being emotionally & physically worn out from doing the show again & somehow it was even better. We really appreciate all the support from vehicle owners, re-nactors, traders & public, and to finish off with a ride in the Water Buffalo was just the icing on the cake for me. So here are a few drone pics for starters, taken fairly late on the Saturday evening so some vehicles had gone home for the day & think most people had wondered down to the beer tent. And fortunately the rain later on Saturday afternoon didn't spoil things or even deter visitors, & did treat us to a fantastic double rainbow in the evening. If any of you have any interesting pics or feedback then please post away, as I didn't get chance to take many pics, but will add some later taken by another photographer. cheers Paul
  19. Beach has arrived for those amphibious vehicles, just need a few shovels to spread out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. WARNING - For those travelling from the North of Evesham along A46 please note there may be a diversion in place, from the Bidford roundabout down to the next roundabout at Evesham Country Park, the last section prior to Badsey is not effected. They have been closing the A46 at night from 8pm - 7am, its happening this week, however sometimes it switches between Northbound or Southbound so I've been in contact to try & find out the nights it effects Southbound, as could be a real pain for those arriving during the evening this week especially the Friday night but thought best to pre-warn you. Map here showing diversion, but will keep checking with them: http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/road-projects/A46-Twyford-Roundabout-to-Salford-Priors-Roundabout-northbound-and-southbound-resurfacing?maps
  21. Hi Alec, Thats not a problem, pm sent with entry numbers to quote. Popping over to day as a few vehicles arriving today & tomorrow having been to Wicksteed. cheers Paul
  22. I've now emailed all entry numbers, so just quote that upon arrival in exchange for wristbands, though I'm sure one or two might have slipped through the net. And still not too late to register if you haven't already done so. 438 MV's so far.
