Hi Mettlen, That 101 ("Lady Jane") is a familiar motor to me. I don't know if you are in contact with it's first civvy owner Bryan, but he's a good friend of mine. I helped him look round the batch being sold at Craddocks in late 2000 - we settled on Lady Jane as is was (1) largely complete (2) the steering balls were in good condition and (3) it had a military recon engine. Very pleased to here that - and that's how Bryan wanted to kept it, seeing the number in the 101 club that were turning into campers. Anyway, those stretchers in the back are fine for sleeping on As for some history since then - we'll it's out on the web and public so I'll just post the link - http://www.reocities.com/wickmesh/landrovr.htm. Hi guys, My name is Andrew - I'm a Land Rover person - I chanced across your forum when looking for 101 pictures. And then I found one of a motor I know rather well So the main reason I've signed up is to contact the new owner of said 101 Land Rover, in case I can offer any useful info... What can I tell you about me? Well I'm not a MV owner unfortunately, my Land Rover fleet consists of a 19 year old LR Discovery and a 21 year old LR Defender 90. I'm a civvy; I manage loudspeaker and amplifier design projects for consumer electronics for a living.
