  1. My dad spotted this one towards the latter end of 2015. Information board said that it hadn't long been acquired by the company.
  2. I emailed the link to this and your site to my friend John Thompson who wrote The Green Machine book all about AFS vehicles. He came back with the following details, which I hope may be of interest: "Its an interesting Vehicle (JJD231D) Chassis No: Bedford RL 49022, one of the very late (1965) registered Home Office AFS Vehicles. It was built as a Hose Layer and was allocated as part of the Northern Ireland Emergency Fleet (Fleet No:37) and was in store at Marchington as part of the NI Fleet in September 1998. It was at Witham Sales in March 2006 and was subsequently sold." Scott
  3. I would concur with this, please keep the photographs coming as this vehicle is of real interest to me as it combines two areas which I like - showmen and military vehicles. Scott
  4. Just spotted this on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUKW-WW2-AMPHIBIAN-TRUCK-2-5-TON-6x6-wwII-wartime-amphibious-duck-/161978850691?hash=item25b6b11d83:g:mDsAAOSwG-1WweJI
  5. As someone who enjoys both programmes, it was good to see a little bit further inside the collection that Bruce has.
  6. One coming up for sale here among other items of interest: http://www.cheffins.co.uk/news/keeley-sale-announced-1433-vintage
  7. Not too bad a price for that Striker - can't say I have come across one before. About three or four years ago now I managed to pick up a very good condition Armoured Command Vehicle for £6. There was another one and having seen how much they go for now I wish I'd have picked it up. Sadly no boxes though. It is hard to pick up a bargain these days in Dinky, I find it that way anyway.
  8. Evening all, something interesting popped up on twitter this week which led me wanting to learn further about a vehicle which I must admit I had not heard of before. The picture was posted here: Someone said that it was an Alecto. Now I was wondering if anyone else had any further details other than what is available on Google or if there are any other pictures about. Scott
  9. Perhaps remind them that 'this hideous vehicle' and those that served on it let them live in their close as they wish Truck is coming on well though, always enjoy reading a good restoration thread.
  10. Very nice find indeed, look forward to following the restoration thread. Out of interest how many tankers were made? Scott
  11. Top work Monty, I must get back to Holland at some point. It is on the to do list again for sure.
  12. Yes it sure is, don't know why I said Stourport :nut:. Good to hear that it is still around though.
  13. Saw this one last in 2011 (I think) although this shot is from 2010. Haven't seen it on the Midlands military vehicle scene at any shows I've been to recently.
  14. Not sure if I have ever posted these on here. Took them what must have been 7/8 years ago now at Panes Yard in Upton-upon-Severn.
  15. There is also a good Facebook page which gets updated quite regularly with pictures and information about the film: https://www.facebook.com/PegasusBridgemovie/?ref=ts&fref=ts
  16. Looking great, all the hard work pays off when you end with something like this.
  17. Is the show admission price the standard one which is listed for Brooklands Museum does anyone know?
  18. These two still earn their keep almost every day in Staffordshire.
  19. Great pictures both on here and FB. Must be good to see the progress that has been made as well.
  20. I think this story has been on here before, but still good to take another look.
  21. And here it is enjoying two different ground conditions in the arena. I must admit to being one of those that took a good look at the inner workings of the Spartan when you were working on it. Scott
  22. One I hadn't seen before, pictured at Astle Park Steam Rally today.
