  1. Nice one Rob! Are you taking it to Yorkshire Wartime Experiance in July, I will have mine there, it would be good to have two together. Craig
  2. I have been asked to find owners of WW2 British vehicles who would be interested in doing some film work in Liverpool around April time. If this of any interest please PM me (with pictures of your vehicles if possible) for further details. Thanks Craig
  3. Thats because you had a proper haulage company and driver to take the Cromwell Rick. I did three round trips from Lancashire and apart from the main entrance being a problem, which could have been sorted with a little extra tempary track, I did'nt find it too bad. Craig
  4. Give Paul a call on 07941 508237. He has most things for Can-Am's I just done one and got any parts I needed. He's a realy nice guy and very helpful. Please tell Craig from Hindle's passed his number on. Craig
  5. Hope to see you there, we'll have to set them up together that would make a good display. Craig
  6. It was, but I bought it off a third party for a bit of proffit on the selling price.
  7. I've managed to get some drum magazines L&R handed from World Wide Arms in boxes, but stll looking for sights. If I cant find any I will try and get some made. The good news is that I've got the engine running and all the hudraulics are working although there is a small leak from a couple of pipes but the shoudn't be hard to fix. Next job is a clean up and paint. I'm hoping to have it all done for The Yorkshire Wartime Experiance show in July. Should make an intersting exhibit. Craig
  8. Spoke to a mechanic at Lancs Daf this morning; I was right it was a light gray material, a bit like felt with a hardish foam backing, but that was on the Roadtrains. I would have thought yours would have been the same john. Is your a full sleeper cab or the smaller rest cab? I can't remember. Craig
  9. You had better add Polsten Quad to that lot; got it going this morning. Got a bit of an hydraulic oil leak but nothing we cant sort.
  10. Hi John, I think it was the same as the Leyland Roadtrain, if I remember right it is a lightish grey colour. I'll see if I can get some info from Lancs Daf. Call down if your passing and have a look at my new toy and I'll get the kettle on. Craig
  11. Hi Richard, Thanks for that, I think I've found one on Ebay. If its not the right one I'll try Jeep bits. It looks like there may be a wiring problem, had a bit of smoke coming from the switch box when we connected the battery so next job is to trace if there is a bare wire shorting out. Could do with a wiring diagram if you know where I could got one? Craig
  12. Hi Rob, I've got the large sight bar but not the sights that fit on to it. If youv'e got the sights I'd have them off you, but thanks for the offer. Craig
  13. I've just started to restore a Polston Quad AA Gun. Managed to get the donkey engine running but there's a bad fuel leak from the lift pump. It's been stripped down and it looks like the diaphragm is porous. Any ideas where I get get a new one or would a different lift pump fit?
  14. I must say a big thank you to the Tank Museum, War Gaming.net and all at HMVF. Looking forward to going to the Tank Museum, I've not been there for over 30 years when I drove a CVRT there on my Tracked license course when I was based at Ludgershall. Craig (and Degsy I'd be happy to pick the federal up for Jack lol :cool2:)
